800W/1300W DC/DC Converter with Built-in PMBus Interface - VCB_QBO-xxWR3A-N Series

MORNSUN has recently introduced two new series of high-power telecom power supplies with PMbus interface, VCB-QBO-800WR3A-N, and VCB-QBO-1300WR3A-N. They are designed to meet the power supply needs of customers in telecommunication base stations, data centers, industrial control, and other industries.
VCB_QBO-xxWR3A-N series has excellent performance, with efficiency up to 96.6%, ripple noise as low as 100mV, wide operating temperature range from -40 to 85℃, and stable temperature performance at even -40℃ or 85℃. This series of products supports PMBus Interface and has DLS and ACS optional. At the same time, the products satisfy the IEC/UL/EN62368 and international general DOSA standards.
Advantages
1. High and stable efficiency curve
The 5G data flow is unbalanced and changes with time, which means that the actual load range of the power supply can vary unpredictably from light to full load, so high efficiency is required at both full and light loads.
Mornsun’s telecom power supplies adopt frequency conversion and active clamp technology, effectively improving the conversion efficiency under all loads, the average efficiency is greater than 90% in the POL of 10%/25%/50%/100%. VCB_QBO-xxWR3A-N's efficiency up to 96.6% @ full load.
2. Intelligent and convenient with PMbus interface
The series comes with a PMBus interface, by matching with the upper computer system, it can realize programming, configuration, control, output voltage adjustment, protection threshold adjustment as well as parameter and malfunction monitoring, etc in a graphical user interface. This product offers over 60 different parameters for reading or adjustment, along with a wide range of over 100 operational commands. Furthermore, this system allows for intelligent parameter re-design, as well as responsive handling of observed parameter and malfunction. (A few examples of the monitoring parameters are as follows)
3. DLS or ACS current sharing models are available
When upgrading the communication system or increasing its capacity, it is usually necessary to use multiple power supplies in parallel to shunt the output current. This series offers two options for current sharing: ACS and DLS. In ACS mode, the output ±Vo and PMBus_CTRL pins of each product must be connected in parallel. This mode is suitable for applications that require high current equalization accuracy and output voltage. DLS mode, on the other hand, doesn't require PMbus and only needs the output ±Vo pins to be connected in parallel. This mode is ideal for situations that don't require digital communication and is more convenient for certain applications.
4. Full protection
This series includes a no-load capacitive load repeated startup anti-reverse design. It also features input under-voltage protection, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-temperature protection, short-circuit protection, and other protective functions. These features can effectively prevent the customer's system or equipment from working abnormally and causing unnecessary losses.
In addition, based on PMbus and the upper computer system, the protection function parameter thresholds can be freely adjusted, with a higher degree of flexibility, to meet the needs of customers in different application scenarios.
