10Mbps, 3.3-5V powered, Half-duplex RS-485 Transceiver --- SCM3406ASA

MORNSUN 10Mbps, 3.3-5V powered, Half-duplex RS-485 Transceiver --- SCM3406ASA.jpg

Introduction

SCM3406ASA is a half-duplex low-power consumption transceiver that is fully compliant with TIA/EIA-485A standard

Powered by a 3-5.5VDC supply, its Bus-Pin ESD protection is up to 15 kV HBM and the bus fault-tolerant voltage range is -15V to +15V.

It consists of a driver and a receiver, both of which can be enabled and disabled independently, and when both are disabled, the driver and receiver output a high resistance state.

SCM3406ASA has only 1/8 of the standard load, which allows up to 256 nodes on a bus, making it suitable for data transmission up to 10 Mbps. And the SCM3406ASA features fail-safe and short-circuit (current-limiting) protection.

Applications

RS-485 transceiver can be widely used in the fields of industrial automation, building automation, intelligent electricity meters, remote signal interaction, transmission, etc.
